INPUT, PROCESS, STORAGE, OUTPUT

INPUT: In computing, an input device is (a piece of computer hardware equipment) used to provide data and control signals to an information processing system such as a computer or information appliance.
   EXAMPLE:
  • keyboard, mouse, webcam, scanners, joysticks, microphone.

PROCESS: When a computer recieves data from an input device, the data must go through an intermediate stage before it can be sent to an output device. A processing device is any device in a computer that handles this intermediate stage.
    EXAMPLE:
  • Central Processing Unit, Graphics Processing Unit, Motherboard, Network Card, Sound Card
STORAGE: A storage device is any hardware capable of holding information either temporarily or permanently. There are two types of storage devices used in computers. A primary storage device, such as RAM, and a secondary storage device, like a hard drive. Secondary storage can be removable, internal or external storage.
   EXAMPLE:
  •  Floppy Diskette, Magnetic Strip, Super Disk, Hard Drive, Casette Tape, Zip Diskette, Blu-ray Disk, USB Flash Drive, Memory Card, Memory Stick, Cloud Storage.

OUTPUT: An output device is any peripheral that recieves data from a computer, usually for display projection, or physical reproduction.
  EXAMPLE:

  • Monitor, Printer, Speakers, Headphones.

LIMITATIONS OF A COMPUTER SYSEM

Image result for limitations of a computer system
Although computers have made out lives easier and more efficient, there can be limitations in their power
  • HARDWARE LIMITATIONS: speed of components
  • SOFTWARE COMPONENTS: poorly written or incompatible software
  • COMMUNICATION LIMITATIONS: comms bottleneck, shared broadband
  • INAPPROPRIATE DESIGN: poorly designed
  • POOR DATA CONTROL AND MECHANISMS: GIGO, humans

ICT system

ICt is the infrastructure and components that enable modern computing.

Altough there is no single universal definition of ICT, the term is generally accepted to mean all devices, networking components, applications and systems that combined, allow people and organizations to interact in the digital world.

Components of ICT:

   Cloud compacting
   Transaction
   Communications Techonology
   Software
   Hardware
   Data
   Internet Access

The term Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is generally accepted to mean all technologies that, combined, allow people and organizations to interact in the digital world.

ICT

ICT helps us in our everyday life. It makes things easier to handle. Without it, life will be harder. We all depend on it. Robbers can rob malls more frequently the security systems are online and the security personnel can't contact the police.Image result for ict
